In 2001 our Club saw an opportunity to increase further its charitable fund-raising by organising a Dragon Boat Challenge beside Pangbourne Meadow, the beautiful stretch of the Thames close to where the Club meets every Monday evening.  We always seek to work with and help people from Pangbourne and its surrounding districts and so we offered to organise a Dragon Boat event as part of the very popular Pangbourne Village Fete.  The Fete also seeks to raise funding for village needs.
